First it was believed that Radio Apurimac was back
on the air. The station was logged as unidentified by several
DXers, one being David Norrie, reporting this on the hcdx
list:
5235.56 Radio Apurimac, 1103, Aug 25.
No ID but s/on at or about 11.00, but flute music noted with
fair signal. This one confirmed and being heard by Rogildo
Fontenele in Bolivia at this time and thanks to him for this
confirmation.
Radio Apurimac was a fairly frequent catch on this frequency
during 1994-97, according to the Nordicdx database.
The station then also was noted for carrying boty ads and
programming for Radio Mar Plus 760 kHz, a station in Lima.
Radio Apurimac was established on September 16, 1966 by Raul
Montesino. |
