[IRCA] TP 30 Dec Victoria version
Some Asians earlier, but then things shifted DU around 1400UT; no
sunrise enhancement
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
not this morning
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
1566 HLAZ woman in Japanese 1341UT, erratic fades, then into Japanese
program s/off announcement; Chinese program 1345UT considerably weaker.
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
738 Tahiti woman in French 1435UT
774 3LO? woman in DU English 1425UT, but not //612 or 702
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
612 4QR woman talking 1426UT, not //774, but ID'd later by //702
621 woman talking 1445UT, then slow vocal, almost countryish, or
maybe island? Dead on hour of course, back 1507UT with similar music
702 2BL woman DU English inflection //612 but leading by about a second, 1437UT
774 man talking, sounding Japanese, 1322UT
972 woman talking 1326UT, too much splash for language
1116 man talking, DU English inflection 1400UT,a few seconds after
the top of the hour at which time this was MIA
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
828 891 1053 1548 1557
best wishes,
Nick
