[IRCA] Aberta TP's for 7 Sep 2008
Since this is my last morning here for a bit thought I'd try one more
early morning.
Started at 1200 and not much was happening, with just so-so carriers on
the regular frequencies. Just as I was beginning to think staying in
bed would have been a wiser choice things started to improve. Things
peaked around 1245-1300 with once again the DU stations dominating. In
the end I heard audio from DU on 549, 576, 594, 639, 702, 738, 774, 846,
855, 891, and 1116, and carriers on another 70 channels. So, not quite
as good as the last couple of days, but still worth getting up for.
Sydney on 702 was the star today, with a very good signal at times.
Brisbane's 792 which did so well yesterday never even reached audio
level today.
Regarding Asian signals, for whatever reason, it seems the recovery on
the TP signals is much more gradual here than on the coast. After
getting back some carriers yesterday I logged some audio today, but only
the Japanese on 594, 693, and 747 reached audio levels, and they were
only fair at best. I did note more TP carriers than yesterday, so the
slow climb out of the hole continues.
