I have an ongoing problem with power line noise.  The
electrical infrastructure in our small town has been
added on to and band-aided over the years with no real
system wide upgrade.  When I talk to our utility
(PG&E) about the noise source de jour, the only term
they understand is TVI. Despite anything I say to
them, its TVI.  On several occasions when I thoroughly
explained the problems I was having without mentioning
"TVI," they have ALWAYS dispatched a trouble shooter
because of "high voltage to the meter."  Sigh.
