The reason IBOC was adopted as "In Channel-On Band" was so the stations
would not have to change frequencies and have all of the expense. Plus
they are so concerned, such a move, they would lose their listeners. Do
you really think a station would automatically be willing to change from
AM to a new FM Band?
The cost would be there, but Canadians are doing it all of the time.
