I don't know about NPR's endowment but I heard the one for Harvard isn't doing so well.
As part of saving measures, NPR also stopped its overnight AM relays in Moscow, Russia from January 19. I wish they could take over a few hours at VoA's AM frequency as it's mostly VoA Music. But I'm sure it's impossible due to all the legal stuff on both ends...
