Manchester hosted the Commonwealth Games so those sports facilities are
regularly used.
The North West has 6 Premiership football teams: Manchester United,
Manchester City, Everton, Liverpool, Bolton and Blackburn, London also has 6
but the total attendances for the 6 North West teams are higher.
The BBC is supposed to serve the whole of the UK but a lot of its output has
been criticised as just reflecting a metropolitan white London elite.
