[IRCA] TP 14 Aug Victoria version
The last few mornings haven't been worthy of a report, first just
grumbles on 738, then, yesterday, hints only of Asia. This morning
was all Asia, all the way, or more accurately, (drum roll), HLAZ,
with a bit of JOUB plus a number of carriers, though oddly, not 1053
that I could hear.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
1566 HLAZ 1215-1230UT, several good peaks with man in English, then
man in Chinese, then woman and man in Chinese, organ music etc. The
Japanese program wasn't a whole lot louder, but a bit more
consistent, and lasted until 1300UT, when things pretty much fell off the cliff
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
the above passing through
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
774 JOUB pips at 1100UT, woman talking, Japanese inflection
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
