Patrick, you're obviously thinking of all the possibilities.  As much as I enjoy phasers, and I have a superb Misek phaser now, when the DX gets hot and heavy, I don't really want to monkey around with the knobs actively phasing, when I would rather spend the time going from frequency to frequency searching for TA or TP signals.  Where phasers have helped me is on those frequencies with local or semi-local stations that I normally would not bother with at all.  Tweak the knobs correctly and there's always something good to hear underneath!  ......Walt.
