This station ran a very successful DX test in 1996 - heard and QSLed here in
Memphis, as it was in many other locations across the nation.

KABC TV has reported that the fire on Catalina Island, California -- may
have started near a radio transmitter site. KBRT - AM 740 -- a 10 KW
daytime station has been silent -- for two days. However -- an open
carrier has been heard -- during the daytime -- from 735 to 740 Khz -- in
Southern California.
