Group,
Night before last (Thursday) had Radio Moishach-1710 at S-7. I heard
several IDs, which I didn't tape since I thought they would make a
reference to "Lubavitcher." At least an hour's monitoring, wasted.
Apparently totally alone on the (non) channel.
Last night (Friday), I tried 1710. This time Inter was in at S-7. I
recorded several references to "Inter-en" ("en" being pronounced as
nasalized "awn."
Think I remember that Haitian French places the "en" French prefix (= "on,"
"upon") AFTER the noun [thus making it a "postfix"].
Anyway, I logged it.
But Radio Moishach was totally absent.
I did hear a het of about 100 Hz, but neglected to measure its frequency.
QUESTION:
Has anyone visited these two stations? If I were fool enough to go to New
York City, Moischach would be one of my "must visits."
My guess is they are running about 50 watts.
AS to Inter, where are they located? Must be about 50 watts, too.
I've heard them both in operation with about a 15-Hz carrier beat between
them. Inter has since move closer to 1,710,000.0.
NEXT QUESTION:
Both apparently have been in operation for quite a while. Were's the FCC in
this? Sure, at least by osmosis, the FCC knows about
both stations. Has political consideration held them off from "busting"
these stations?
I hope for some other pirates to show up on 1710, 1720 and 1730.
This is fun!
