As I wrote earlier, there are a thousand solutions.
But a thousand solutions means there is no centralized place for recordings..
Someone mentioned Guy Atkins' site as being good. Well, it was good. But it went away many years ago. We don't want to rely on 1 person - again we need a club solution.
BTW, you wrote that a 1 MB limit would keep audio files off the list. All of the audio clips I have are under 1 MB, using low rate mp3 as that is adequate for AM DX. So how would 1 MB do what you say?

I will say soundcloud is real easy. If you have an audio file you want to
share, log in/sign up for soundcloud, get the audio file to your computer,
upload it, give it a title ,description and click save. will take you less
then 5 mintues.. and i could teach my somewhat computer litterate mother to
do it if she asked.... point is, its easy
