Re: [IRCA] Miscou Island Prelim DX Report - Long

Again my appologies for screwing up my initial post by typing SE rather than
SW for your direction to N.Z. OK So you EWE is directed to null at 60
degrees (and they have a nice wide cardiod null) if the theoretical center
of the main beam is 240 degrees. At 298.8 towards Manila the signal,
theoretically would be only 2 dB down from a signal received from 240
degrees, which is minimal. Your EWE has good reception from NZ to FE Russia,
which makes good sence, although I suspect is also works quite well for
stations somewhat more southerly than NZ, but there aren't any stations in
those directions for you to check !

My point of my original post is not to knit-pick you about directions (Great
Circle Directions are really hard to understand without a computer program)
but is to help us all understand how your wonderful EWE is performing.
