Was up early this AM, so I managed to catch most or all of the
morning DU time. I tuned in at 1145 and there was quite a bit of
threshold audio about. Early on, it was mostly Aussie, with a few
JJs. The JJs dropped away about 1200 (dawn = 1225) and the Aussies
led things for a while, with only a few Kiwi's. The ten minutes
before and after LSR was mostly Kiwi Time. Overall, it was certainly
one of my best-ever DU mornings here at this semi-inland site. I even
heard a couple of Kiwis that I've never heard from the Coast, tho'
not well enough to report. Also, for a while around 1215, I had
567//675//756//918, all National Radio New Zealand, of course.
Here are the notes.... were Threshold "6s" unless otherwise noted.
531 Best of season, tho' barely an UNID 7 level

765 This one was in well for about 3 minutes, 1228-1231. Was hoping
for the probable 5CC ID. No luck.
774 JJ @ 1200, Both at 1208, DU late
837 Two 2 kW Nat Radio synchros // 675 @ 1217
855 Have noted good het here several AMs. Finally in audio, sounded
like R. Rhema, 1XH Hamilton
891 5AN// 702 @1209
918 First noted 1210, //675 @ 1222 3YT Timaru
927 (2ZA Kiwi?)
963 Southern Star, last half of AM //657
1017 Briefly at good level with OC @1220, could hear something
underneath... which sounded like 2KY, Sydney. At 1230, OC was gone
but presumed 2KY was still there
1053 NewsTalk ZB, New Plymouth presumed at 7 level

It would have been a great AM on the coast!
