Pete,
The old DoE of Salem told me that when they bought 1300 and 1360, they
tried in vain to get the FCC to ok the change back to KOL and KMO, but
the FCC refused. Salem wanted the historic calls returned. With KKHJ,
now KHJ, there was some talk about in SS being a dirty word or
something, so that is how they got a calls returned, but I always
wondered, why the FCC just did not offer them another 4 call letter set.
