Re: [IRCA] All Hail the SRF-59!

Kevin,

Congratulations on your phenomenal achievement of nulling KKDZ-1250 by
placing the tiny radio on a tripod, and hearing KWSU! I have never really
investigated the SRF-59's nulling abilities, but I know it puts a killer null
on KXL-750 when I try for JOIB-747... in fact, I can never remember a time
when it couldn't null anything I tried. It put local pest KSUH-1450 way down in
the noise so I could hear Port Angeles-1450 at night, and absolutely
silences KVI-570 so I can hear KPQ-560 in the daytime. And I will divulge one of
the "intelligence secrets" from the current shootout results... the SRF-59 was
the only one of the 4 radios that could even hear KPQ-560 in the daytime...
the other 3 (SRF-M37V, DT200VX, and ICF-S10Mk2) had only loud KVI-570 slop on
the frequency. Not bad for a $16 radio!

             73, Gary
