[IRCA] TP 30 Nov Victoria version
Oh, there were smatterings of DX this morning, but it was very much a
case of the early bird getting the worm. Fortunately, the NetSDR
doesn't have much of a taste for worms, so left me the recordings.
From 1400UT on, it was a desert, the late bird found no worms.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
738 Tahiti likely? Vocal pop music 1352UT
1566 HLAZ man in Japanese 1336UT, fairly readable through Japanese
s/off at 1345UT. Although the Chinese sign on was audible, the
program was mostly pretty close to splatter level
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
the above passing through
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
774 JOUB man in Japanese 1158UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
594 JOAK? man talking, Japanese inflection
828 JOBB slow music //774 1159UT, followed by pips
1053 Korean jammer 1335UT
1503 man talking, maybe Japanese inflection 1201UT, no parallel available
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
not much except the above fading down...
best wishes,
Nick
