[IRCA] TP 12 Sep Victoria version
A couple of Asians today for a change of scene, but still mostly
DU. Things were erratic, didn't start getting going until 1310UT or
so, but with a little bit of work, ended up with a couple of
unexpected Aussies on New Zealand channels
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
612 4QR woman talking about something "taking New South Wales by
storm this October" 1343UT. Old time country music followed, just
kept hanging in there, pretty much gone by 1350UT, but recovered
enough by 1355UT to hear the ABC news fanfare at 1400UT
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
567 RNZ National, man talking //675 1319UT
675 RNZ National, matching up with 567 in strength and programming 1319UT
1242 JOLF likely, with pop mx followed by woman in Japanese, best on
north Flag 1323UT. Quite unexpected
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
702 2BL woman talking 1314UT //774
738 likely Tahiti, pop music, African? 1315UT
774 3LO woman talking, DU English, 1314UT //702
891 likely 5AN with quiet vocal music 1302UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
531 unID. Man talking to woman on phone 1228UT, sounded DU English
567 4JK, just when RNZ was maxing out at 1319UT, this crept up with
quiet female vocal //612
576 2RN jazz first noted 1312UT, established parallels with 621 and
792 a little later
621 3RN man in DU English? jazz, ID'd //792 and 576 at 1330UT
675 2CO quiet vocal music //702, mixing with RNZ National 1309UT, quite a mess
738 2NR slow country music //612 1344UT
792 4RN jazz vocal 1325UT //621
828 3GI and ?, woman talking //612 at 1336UT, but a man's voice in there also
909 // 963 Star, woman talking 1332-3UT, no joy digging out 882
1107 woman talking 1341UT DU English?
1116 4BC? man DU English? 1335UT
1566 HLAZ familiar sounds of start of Japanese program 1230UT, "What
a Friend I Have in Jesus" on piano etc.
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
594 603 747 765 819 864 882 1008 1035 1044 1098
best wishes,
Nick
