[IRCA] TP 31 Mar Victoria version

Quite a good quantity of DX today, some not heard for awhile. Even some of the second and third string got a bit loud, and there were lots of "near audios" on the carriers heard.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

747 JOIB man in Japanese //828, then jazz guitar interlude, 1330UT
774 JOUB English lessons at 1239UT, likely other times as well
1017 CRI woman in Korean, man responding 1313UT. I'm probably pushing this a bit, but when the splash took a rest, this was perfectly readable, maybe not as strong as some of the others though.
1566 HLAZ man in Japanese 1250UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

594 JOAK man and woman in Japanese 1319UT //567
738 likely Tahiti with African sounding pop music at 1343UT
828 JOBB man in Japanese //747 1329UT
945 CNR1 man in Chinese, briefly this level at 1324UT, likely parallel to weaker 981, but leading it slightly, made it hard to be sure
972 HLCA woman in Korean 1310UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

567 JOIK man and woman in Japanese 1318UT //594
1053 Korean jammer 1231UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

657 North Korea? man talking insistently 1331UT, might have been Korean?
666 JOBK instrumental music, man talking, //594 1332UT
819 female vocal pop mx 1242UT, didn't sound much like North Korea, but wasn't any other DU activity this morning really.
873 JOGB man talking //774 1238UT
891 JOHK woman talking //594 1323UT
918 woman talking, man responding, deep in the splatter 1311UT, China?
981 CNR1 likely, woman talking, Chinese inflection, with bits of music 1234UT
1206 Yanbian likely, man and woman talking, off channel carrier, 1341UT
1323 CRI? woman and man talking, Russian inflection 1248UT and a couple of other times too

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

603 702 711 756 837 855 864 936 954 1008 1044 1098 1134 1242 1251 1278 1287

best wishes,

Nick
