[IRCA] TP 31 Mar Victoria version
Not a great morning, especially as sunrise approached, but a couple
of unusual ones, given the poor conditions
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
594 JOAK two men in Japanese 1241UT
774 JOUB English lessons 1237UT
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
828 JOBB end of English lessons 1259UT, then pips as it faded down
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
612 4QR woman DU English to man on phone 1339-41UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
657 woman and man mumbling in a DU English sort of way 1304UT
747 JOIK in briefly, with man talking //774 1329UT
792 woman talking, DU English inflection 1315UT
846 NHK1 man talking //594 1234UT
864 woman and man mumbling, sounded commercial Japanese inflection,
but no parallels 1244UT
891 JOHK NHK pips 1300UT, not much else; poor audio at 1309UT, man
talking //594
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
585 954 1053 1242 1566 1575 seemed to be Asian; 702 738 756 1098
1548 seemed DU
best wishes,
Nick
