[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 2-21

Hello All,

Bill willÂalmost certainlyÂhave another morning full of vibrant Asian recordings to sort out.ÂThe low band once againÂkicked into overdrive after a potent sunrise boost around 1440, boostingÂ603-HLSAÂto its best signals of the new year (excellent, during peaks), while 594, 693 and 747 all sounded very energetic during the same short period.

Around 1400 the band didn't sound very special, with only an anemic 594-JOAK in audio. That changed pretty dramatically around 1430, with 603-HLSA rising out of the noise to reach veryÂpotent levels in and out-- easily becoming the strongestÂTP of the morning. Its parallel 558-HLQH also rode the same sunrise boost to fair signals, while 657-Pyongyang and a presumed 738-BEL2 had threshold audio in and out. The Japanese big guns on 594, 693 and 747 were in and out with very good peaks from 1430-1455, although the usual Korean regulars 972-HLCA and 1134-KBS were missing in action. The high band also sounded dreary during the low band romp, with barelyÂany audio at all from the regulars on 1503, 1566, 1575 and 1593. Overall it was a strange session, with Asian propagation seriously skewed toward the lower frequencies. 603-HLSA was easily the star of the session, with Korean pop music ballads (hosted by the deep-voiced male) hitting excellent peaks around 1435. Hope to see Bill, Chuck, Bruce, Guy and the other TP-DXing fanatics at Bruce's GTG this afternoon,Âhaving plans to head for the Seattle TP-DXing planet (which sometimes seems like it's in a completely different universe).
