[IRCA] TP DX for October 5

Conditions today were similar yesterday. Maybe not quite as good, but acceptable.

Unlike Gary, I'm still not hearing much from China. The top tier Japanese, Korean, and Alaskan stations did OK once again, although the latter were not as good today. For some reason, the NHK powerhouses have been peaking around 1300-1315, even though some of the others (especially high banders) are peaking closer to sunrise.

I had a fairly strong carrier on 819 trying desperately to produce audio, but local KGNW-820 was just too strong. Same thing again with 945 and 954 trying to get past KJR.

Here's what the SDR captured from 1245 to 1415 today:

Good audio (generally only for brief periods)
693 JOAB man with weather //747/774 1303
750 KFQD dominant with local weather and call IDs 1343
774 JOUB weather in Japanese 1303
972 HLCA with the usual Korean chatter 1339
1566 HLAZ good with Japanese pgm 1343, fair-good in Chinese 1349

Fair audio (partially understandable by a native speaker)
747 JOIB, pips & weather 1300, not as good as past days for some reason
780 KNOM, woman with regional weather under KKOH 1302, not as good as yesterday. No sign of KICY-850 today.

Weak bits of real or imaginary audio
594 Japan
657 DPRK
828 Japan
1053 Korea
1323 probably China
1476 Unid
1557 probably Taiwan
1575 VOA presumed

Carriers visible on SDR display
639 648 675 729 738 684 756 819 891 909 918 927 936 945 954 981 1008 1026 1035 1044 1098 1107 1116 1134 1188 1206 1242 1287 1422 1503
