[IRCA] TP Oct 5, 2012 / Victoria version

Well, the big stuff was big (at times, not as much as yesterday), and 
the small stuff turned up too, mostly around 1400UT and in some 
quantity, though I did dig up a couple of those below from the 
recording rather than live.  Seeing signs of China again too, though 
no CNR1 this morning that I could ID.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):

594 JOAK at various times around 1400UT
774 JOUB CC lessons 1354UT; someone underneath w/mx
1566 HLAZ 1344UT, woman in JJ "HLAZ desu". (not FEBC like yesterday), 
then mentioned Nihon-go (Japanese language), little piano interlude 
and off.   CC program at 10dB down as Bruce noted, but faded rapidly 
for awhile.  (from the recording, it came back within 2dB of the 
earlier peak at 1353UT and 1355UT, so probably the true sunrise peak)


reasonable audio  at  times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

747 JOIB CC lessons //774 at 1356UT
828 JOBB CC lessons 1357UT
1053 KK jammer  1352UT; something underneath
1242 JOLF  JJ talk by man, briefly at 1403UT
1287 JOHR  man and woman talking, 1422UT, best signal of the morning, 
and over local noise that began at 1410UT.


not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or 
noise could be
understood by a native speaker:

1323 CRI.   chimes and fanfare at 1400UT....faded up for the hour; 
Murphy is not Chinese?





Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

153 R. Rossii woman talking 1353 //189 and 279
621 China but who?  CC pips at 1400UT (NHK style high pip also, and 
there was another talker there), light female vocal mx and woman w/CC 
inflection at 1405UT.  Don't know if Heilongjiang News carries mx as well?
666 JOBK man talking 1409 //594, first time this season
702 NHK2 woman talking //774 1359UT, first time this season
846 man talking not //594
864 unID 1403UT rollicking instrumental mx, not //1287
891 unID panpipe mx at 1357 o/u JOHK //594
945 man talking too weak for language guess
963 unID woman talking; if //1323 (which tended to be down when this 
was up), then it was offset enough to make a correlation very 
difficult;  wasn't //594 either
1017 CRI fanfare heard weakly 1400UT
1188 unID, pip on hour, woman talking not //594
1251 man talking CC inflection? 1408UT
1314 JJ inflected talk by woman 1407UT
1575 man talking  1355UT



Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):
