[IRCA] Feb 10 Burnt River ON logs (IDs and unIDs)

Thu Feb 10 was one of the better mornings for DX at Burnt River ON. The following includes unIDs, and I've posted some clips online at WTFDA Forums for anyone who wishes to listen -- and you have my thanks for doing so. I've indicated links down below where applicable.


930 WDLX NC Washington - 0340 - "Harrrr! Pirate radio 1250 and 930. Harrrr! Your talk station."

1030 unID - 0349 - Southern gospel music with lengthy jingle or brief bit of music in between songs. The signal's okay enough, but I'm having trouble making anything out of what is said/sung in what sounds like an extended jingle or musical slogan in between gospel tracks. www.wtfda.info/showthread.php?t=5459

1190 WIXE NC Monroe - 0356 - Local ads. Tearing up WOWO. Seems too strong for its allotted 70 watts nighttime power.

790 unID - 0404 - Spanish Christian programming. This sounds like Catholic prayers. Was going on for at least an hour when I checked. Atop Cuba's Reloj. Has anyone heard and/or IDed anything like this on 790? Same place as 1030 above - www.wtfda.info/showthread.php?t=5459

960 KMA IA Shenandoah - 0422 - Shenandoah Medical Center ad, followed by weather and calls. Returns at 0706 with news that includes several Nebraska City fires and an Omaha item.

880 WRFD OH Worthington - 0448 - Daytimer on overnight with "Life Changing Radio" slogan, calls and phone-in Christian talk.

1400 WQXO MI Munising - 0532 - True Oldies Channel on west wire. New.

1410 WRMN IL Elgin - 0614 - Local news mentions Aurora and IL.

1280 WWTC MN Minneapolis - 0731 - Standard Heating and Cooling ad and mention of St. Louis Park. Again at 0800 with "AM 1280 the Patriot, intelligent radio."

1400 WRDB WI Reedsburg - 0736 - Central WI and Portage in news, calls twice, ad for Fearings TV and Appliance in downtown Reedsburg. Again at 0849 with weather, Hillsboro Equipment (John Deere dealer) ad, "We're 1400 WRDB, WRDB." New.

1450 KFIZ WI Fond du Lac - 0739 - Very weak Fond du Lac reference in mix of stations. Better signal at 0832 with "Locally-owned Fond du Lac stores serving you" in ad, followed by temperature of 11 below. New.

1230 WCLO WI Janesville - 0741 - Calls. New.

1320 WKAN IL Napierville - 0750 - Woman reads news, with items including Cook County Sheriff's Office snow removal, Chicago-area drug ring charges, DuPage County murder trial. "For WKAN News I'm (name unclear)." New.

1220 WKRS IL Waukegan - 0755 - Ad for the Center for Health and Nutrition at 866-311-1321, followed by show promo: "This is Kristin Tews, the host of Personal Best, a brand new show heard right here on 1220 WKRS...weekdays at noon." Again at 0811 with traffic (94 Northbound and Southbound, 847-775-7448 tip line, "1220 WKRS and online at WKRS.com." New.

1430 WBEV WI Beaver Dam - 0800 - Calls and Beaver Dam QTH.

1370 KDTH IA Dubuque - 0806 - "I'm Ron (last name unclear), KDTH News."

1240 unID - 0808 - unID language, maybe Spanish or Italian. Suspect WSBC Chicago. Also at www.wtfda.info/showthread.php?t=5459

1340 WSOY IL Decatur IL - Ad for Paradise Hotel Casino in Peoria. Into program with "This is Byers and Company on WSOY, live from..." New.

1400 WATW WI Ashland - 0833 - "Freedom Talk 1400 WATW" in mess of stations.

1220 WSTL RI Providence - 0840 - "We want to hear your ideas if you are in the kitchen, 401-434-9785 / WSTL.

1330 WLOL MN Minneapolis - 0857 - Relevant Radio ID.

1480 unIDs - 0909 - Maher Funeral Home in news, also police officer injured. I'm not sure if the ad for the MN State Lottery is the same station. Also at www.wtfda.info/showthread.php?t=5459

1270 unID - 0918 - Mexican music with phone numbers and talk. I think I hear a Spanish reference to Illinois and later a possible "La Jefa" slogan." Suspect WKBF Rock Island (Quad Cities). Also at www.wtfda.info/showthread.php?t=5459

1290 unID - 0923 - "AM 1290" and "News Talk Radio" in possible ID near the start of the recording. This one is at www.wtfda.info/showthread.php?t=5460

1590 WIXK WI New Richmond - 0928 - "In Memoriam on WIXK" with obits for George Sigsworth at Williamson-White Funeral Chapel and Amery Cemetery, Pearl Patten age 91 at Osceola United Methodist Church and Fort Snelling National Cemetery and Grandstrand Funeral Home in Osceola. The "Real Country community calendar" includes the Friends of Hudson Library for annual Swan Walk, St. Mary's School annual Mardi Gras fundraiser.

1510 WWHN IL Joliet - 0931 - "Amen. 1510 WWHN, the station that keeps even old..." and male announcer proceeds to play a Black gospel track he says is by Rev. Milton Brunson and a band that's hard to copy. Soon replaced by Rush Limbaugh. New.

1520 WHOW IL Clinton - 0954 - Interview with president of the Kenney Heritage Association, followed by a community calendar that mentions Clinton and Libertyville, and later a clear WHOW ID. Mixing with Stephanie Miller Show on WWKB NY. New.

1490 unID - 1011 - Detailed talk re basketball Gophers and the Big Ten strikes me as locally-produced. Could this be a MN station, and if so any chance of identifying which one? There's nothing on tape to ID the actual station, in terms of calls or location. But I am wondering if anyone up in the MN area recognizes the announcer(s) or station. www.wtfda.info/showthread.php?t=5460

1490 unID - 1700 - "WSBE 104.9, the classic rock station" followed by "WRCE Watkins Glen" in what sounded like two separate stations. No clip posted. This was all quite clear and I didn't have the recorder running.

1340 unID - 1930 - ID sounds like "1340 WMDP" but nothing checks. Also posted at www.wtfda.info/showthread.php?t=5460

790 unID - 2014 - Lady Tigers basketball on south-southwest wire. No clip posted, as I wasn't recording.
