Re: [IRCA] [Amdx] CT DOT 1670 and KWO35 1630 mysteries

The CT DOT 1670 is located around the Stamford, CT area - two transmitters at least - one being on the south side of I-95 by the Glenbrook exit - I think it's exit 8. There's another one further up the highway - just a few exits up - I want to say Darien, but I don't know that for sure. This TIS features a very unnatural female robot voice. It used to be voiced by what sounded like very unprofessional college or high school kids. I actually thought the kids were much better at it than the new robot!

I'll have to keep my ears open for the 1630 NWS relay. When I think of Kennedy Airport its 1630 for traffic going in and 1700 going out. It's been a long while since I've made myself aware of what they are doing. Figuring out just which TIS has KWO35 may be quite a challenge. KWO35 has a very big coverage area. I'll take a listen tomorrow during the day and report back.

Big congrats to Saul. These stations are mighty hauls from his QTH. What are you using for a receiver, Saul? Nice going!

All the best, Karl Zuk N2KZ
