Hello All,
The morning propagation had the TP's in the usual recent weak condition
prior to 1515, but this morning very few of them managed to rejuvenate
themselves.
Unlike yesterday, there was no real boost across the band around 1520, only
a few weird fade-ins by certain stations like 675-Vietnam (also noted by
John). Vietnam came in at a decent level around 1520 with a co-channel, but
there was too much domestic splatter from 670 and 680 to dig out the
co-channel's identity (I was hoping for the NHK1 reported by Nick recently, but
it could just as well have been Hohot, heard many times already).
594-JOAK and 603-HLSA both came up to decent audio around 1530, but neither
one had any co-channels with them during this mediocre session. There was
no boost at all to the upper band this morning, and any hope of good audio
on 1494 kHz (like yesterday) was gone by 1535. 1503-JOUK had a moderate
carrier at 1525, but never came close to the decent NHK1 audio heard
yesterday. In general, it was a very forgettable morning.
73, Gary DeBock
