[IRCA] This morning's TP DX
I ran recordings from 1225 to 1510.
As Walt said, conditions were a bit disturbed. I had lots of signals
below 1400, but not many of them were very strong. Things were nearly
dead above 1422, with mediocre carriers on 1557 1566 & 1575.
One of the high points was hearing Chinese on 1089 in the shadow of 50
kw local KPTK-1090. I also had a rare Chinese reception on 1251, with
KKDZ-1250 running an open carrier.
Here' s what I have in my notes:
Really good audio at time: 693(JOAB) 747(JOIB) 774(JOUB) 945(CNR,
KJR conveniently had a minute of dead air at 1400) 972(KBS) 981(CNR)
1206(Yanbian) 1278(Japan)
Sort of OK audio at times: 639(CNR) 738(music, probably Taiwan)
828(JOBB) 909(NHK pips) 936(China) 855(N Korea) 1035(CNR) 1071(female
vocal across ToH 1300) 1089(Chinese talk) 1134(KBS) 1251(Chinese talk)
Burbles in the splatter 657(great carrier, as good as 693/747/774,
but pathetic audio) 666 675 729 756 810(4+1 pips u/KGO at 1400) 864 891
1017 1026(sedate talk, couldn't ID language) 1107 1116 1143 1341 1359(CC
talk) 1566
Carriers, some with real or imaginary bits of audio: 621 621 711
783 792 819 837 846 918 927 954 963 1044 1053 1098 1125 1143 1179 1188
1215 1224 1242 1269 1287 1332 1422 1557 1575
