[IRCA] TPs from Orcas: Disturbed+Uninspired
I definitely heard the same band as Walt this morning though I quit a
little earlier. We had a few small differences:
549: Where Walt had NHK1 late in the morning, I enjoyed Mayak at the
same time... Wow! Mayak was by itself and actually stronger than
576, which was also back doing quite well.
594: I agree with Walt... there was a big CC equal to JJ for much of
the morning.
630 + 720: Both were CNR2 and doing quite nicely for a while
774: At 1454 (10 minutes past LSR) Chinese opera was ALONE on 774 and
quite strong. I kicked on the recorder and got all excited.... and of
courser, NHK2 swam back up and was totally dominant by TOH.
873: North Korea, with a very nice clean signal was dominating here
at dawn. No sign of Japan
1080: European classical music under Portland for a while. Did not
//. Russia???
The upper half of the band was poor once again.
I think that we are seeing the same trend Japan vs. continental Asia
that we saw late in the season in the last several years.... Japan
becoming less dominant, China more so.
Maybe things are on the mend???
