[IRCA] TP for 25 Oct from Victoria, BC

Didn't start until late this morning, 1435UT and following. Judging by some of the things Bruce was hearing, conditions were better further south, or was it the earlier listening? Certainly, I think I missed some of even the limited DX with the later start.

pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):

594 JOAK
774 JOUB
972 HLCA

& that's it

reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash or noise):

279 R. Rossii
747, 828 NHK-2
936 Anhui w/CC talk at 1454, poorer earlier
954 JOKR; as John B. observed, this fades up late (although his other example, 603, is not nearly so shy here): not until 1449UT this morning w/JJ talk
1575 VoA

not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:

558 HLQH //603, both at same strength
945 CNR-1 //5030 w/usual delay
1134 KBS //972
1242 likely JOLF w/mx 1457UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise:

711 likely HLKA?
801 hum w/singing that might have been //2850 but too dodgy to say for sure
837 not //5030 or //594, so who? (Harbin?)
963 mx, presumed CRI, but also with a growl; jammer? or something off channel?
1017 also presumed CRI
1503 seemed //594 for JOUK
1593 seemed //5030 for CNR-1

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

702 w/hum, 864, 891 (in shadow of local 900), 1251

best wishes,

Nick
