Interesting, as my observations here were the opposite.   My work 
schedule has limited listening to a short sample the last several 
mornings, but this morning was definitely the best for at least a week.  
The big guns from Japan were all doing well and a number of the second 
tier signals had audio traces, which is quite unusual for February here 
at the home (i.e. beverage-free) QTH.   This was in the 1315-1330 time 
period.
