Re: [IRCA] TSA CONSISTENCY

Since 1995 I have travelled by air often on behalf of the National
Disaster Medical System. In addition to personal baggage and survival
gear, I am frequently instructed to tote along a cache of communications
equipment destined for some type of Federal disaster situation. We
generally fly on commercial airlines when they fit the need. I can tell
you far more stories about interesting encounters and inconsistencies
with airport security before TSA than I can since TSA. Perhaps it is
because I am more careful with what I try to get away with in the post
9/11 world. Federal credentials and emergency travel orders usually get
the airline folks to cut me some slack. But take my word, they do not
impress the TSA.
