Hi all,
I have been watching the recent developments regarding ultralighting with
great interest and I have to say it really has got me back into the swing
of MW DX'ing.
Welcome to the Ultralight DX'ing Crew Paul...glad to have you aboard!! Nice
to see the guys from Europe getting in on the Fun and DX that is to be had
with ULR's.....
Im wondering is there a yahoo ultralight group yet and if there is how can
I join.
If there is...I haven't heard of one yet???? Only a matter of time I figure???
Im half way through a Euro version of Rob Ross's 30 day ultralight
adventure with about 230 in the bag , its going to be hard to
replicate the magic 300!
Well...230 and only half way thru the 30 Days is Amazing stuff Paul. I Know
how hard it is/was to log 300 in 30 days......so I appreciate what you have
done already!!! Good luck ...and I am sure you can find another 70 stations
before the month is up. I hope you smash my record all to bits.....I think
it's great you are trying!! We have to stretch the limits of our
ULR's......to see just what can be accomplished with them!! Good
luck....and go get 'em!!
Ive had a few 4000 mile catches but the big one got away - a tentative
catch of Taiwan on 1557 was very probably CRI from the Baltics. Ive had
Taiwan before on a Sony portable on this freq but sadly this one is off
the list - for now.
Nothing wrong with a 4,000 Miler on "ANY RADIO" Paul.
Anyway salutations to all involved and thanks for helping me rediscover
Europe on MW.
Well....I'd like to "Rediscover Europe" on my ULR Paul.....think you can
send a few of those EURO-SIGNALS over this way so I can log them on my
ULR!!! AHAHHAHHA....
Thanks for checking in with us....and please drop by on the reflector often
to let us know how you are doing...and what you're hearing!! Have you heard
anything from this side of the Pond on your ULR yet?? Also....what are you
using as a ULR??? See if you can get a few more of the boys over there
going with ULR DX'ing.......the more the merrier!! A lot of guys over here
think we're a bunch of Wackos?? HAHHAHA.....but we're having fun...and it
looks like you are too!!
Good DX Paul.........I hope to see some records broken by you in the ULR
Category!! Have Fun.....
