I've experienced a couple of small ones - less than 4.0. That's enough.
I'll take hurricanes, blizzards and ice storms here rather than either
quakes or tornadoes, although we have more tornadoes here than I'd
like.
But there are ample places in California where quakes aren't all that
likely - at least not severe ones. Some of those places are pretty
rural, and others are prime real estate I could never afford.
Oh, and Patrick can keep his 60 inches of rain and 4 monsoons per year.
