We have noticed that the BE AM-1A and I'd expect the 5
KW one to be the same....well if you order it without
the internal tuning unit, it WILL re broadcast another
station on a different (sum or minus I can't
remember)frequency  for up to about 5 miles. That can
be a problem and the FCC more or less ignores it
unless it messes someone up. If I tried a more than
part 15 I'd be in jail, however. 

We verified this with a FIM.
