Neil,

I don't know if the skip from NA to Europe is that directive. Like the
DXer might be getting Akron OH, but not West Warwick RI, on 1590, sort
of thing. If the DX was directive enough, getting a 10 watt TIS on a
channel and not hearing a more powerful X Bander might work out. Having
never DXed in Europe, I have no clue. I do know many DXers there hear
everything, GYers, and many other lp US stations. But you are right 5-10
years ago it was easier.
