[IRCA] TPs in the East

Well, carriers anyway. :-) This morning I happened to wake up a little
before sunrise (1035 UTC), so I hastened to the radio room. Between 1000 and
1055, I found hets on about two dozen channels, including 612 657 702 738 756
792 819 873 882 909 927 936 945 954 1035 1071 1116 1503 1512 1521 1539
1548 1566 1593. I did carrier frequency measurements on all of these, and
it's been an interesting exercise trying to match them up with listings in
the mwoffsets list. There was one that matched up nicely with 738 Tahiti,
and, interestingly, another one of almost equal strength about 1 Hz lower.
There was a prominent carrier on 1566 that appeared to match up with HLAZ.
The others that I tentatively matched up with known offsets were all DUs,
including 2BL on 702, 7ZR on 936, 2UE on 954, 2RN on 1512, and one Kiwi, 2ZB
on 1035. The 1512 signal was particularly prominent, and about the last to
fade out. Another biggie, of unknown origin, was on 612.003. All, alas,
several dB short of producing audio, which is probably beyond the
capabilities of my modest antenna setup (just using a 40m dipole for these
receptions, and in a noisy urban location). Interesting, nonetheless!
