[IRCA] Westlist in PDF

Looks like a great list, Craig, but I notice that Grenada 535 is missing and St. Kitts 555 is listed as 550.

Dave

I am very pleased to announce that the entire WestList of all AM stations in
the western hemisphere is now available for download in PDF format.  It's
around 1000 pages and 1.4mb in size.  It's free, of course.  This will be
updated every month or maybe weekly in DX season.  No need to put up with an
outdated list.  Available at:

http://www.am-dx.com/lists/westlist.pdf

The formatting will be improved over time, and perhaps some additional
information can be made available such as addresses.  As always, this is a
work in progress and will be improved.

I use the WestList for quick reference, and the info at 100000watts.com for
more involved work.

http://www.100000watts.com/default.asp

The combination of those two resources do everything I need for AM DX
station info.  100000watts may be a pay site, but it is well worth the money
compared to any other pay resource.  Constantly updated.

Frank,

Do you blame the CBC? I don't. This passport thing is really going to
hurt tourism. Being a locksmith and having a lot of Canadians here helps
our business. I wish the US government would rethink their plans. It
looks like a trip to the passport office is in the future for me. At $90
for a passport, I guess it is worth it, as I can finally go to New
Zealand for a trip in the future. I want to see Arthur Cushen's museum
in Invercargill anyway.

Walt,

That is good to know that 2-3 times as many Canadians have passports
than Americans. So maybe our tourist trade will not be affected as much.
In our area, a lot of people I know have never been to Canada. I know
many in Seaside that never have. It has been 11 years since I was up
your way, but Bob & I used to go these twice a year for a long time in
the 70s/80s. I love Canada, and I hope to drive cross country sometime
on #1. I have always wanted to see PEI too.

*** Patrick, I don't know that you'd want grits. That's really an
acquired taste for anyone who wasn't started early in life. Catfish is
good enough, fried green tomoatoes are excellent, so is good old
fashioned Southern-recipe pecan pie ( and remember that's pronounced
"pi'-kon" - that other pronounciation is reserved for a rather
primitive piece of toilet apparatus and brands you as a Yankee right
away ! )

I checked with my wife on this issue. She happens to be a staff  assistant to US Congressman Cliff Stearns.  They passed a law  after 911 requiring ALL US
Citizens to have a valid passport to get  back into the US. I never thought much about since I have had a  passport for years., Being a frequent fl yer, I use it even when  flying  with in the US. I think it gets me thru the airport line  faster.

This was supposed to take effect 1/1/07 BUT like the  DTV rollout, they changed their minds......again.....  new date is  now  1/1/08

  see  http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbpmc_2223.html

Passports are so eay to get, I dont see why everyone doesnt have one.....

BTW..... the only time I have been searched was in Halifax  by the Canadian side.....   while in HALIFAX, the   Maritime Museum, is a MUST SEE !!!!

  regards to all
