Hi Mike. That is definitely a limitation, and in the case of WinRadio
the particular OS is Windows. I believe I read somewhere that WinRadio
may be working on Linux based software or version, but am not positive.
As for a particular type of computer, I believe this will run on any
type of PC that can run the Windows XP OS and has a USB port(and perhaps
just a COM port using a serial/usb adapter). I know that John Bryant
uses a tablet PC running the tablet version of XP, at least in portable
situations.
As for the severity of this drawback, in my case it isn't one at all
since I'm strictly a Windows OS user.

There is no telling what we will see down the road. The G313 and
SDR-1000 are just the tip of the iceberg.
