You illustrate the case for embracing compelling programming and rejecting iCLOD. You enumerate all the reasons listeners listen, none having to do with HD RF SplatZenJammer.
So well demonstrates listeners gladly put up with and subconsciously ignore static, lo-fi and other supposed defects 'unacceptable' to HD canaries, so as to good programs.

True, it's not The Angry Samoans or Captain Beefheart but isn't there something evocative about 50's-60's slo-twang guitar and tinkling ever-so-slightly outa tune pianos 'neath adenoidal vocals? Doesn't it evoke images of blasting thru sunsplashed juke joint wastelands on blazing hot hazy afternoons? Metallic green dashboard hot, reeking of fresh hi-test and tanning compound. Watch the turns! Them chrome window cranks have bad habit of embedding themselves into cranial matter.
