[IRCA] WAPI/WJOX DX Test
DX update from northern Delaware:
Two new ones: WAPI (via DX test) and WNCT. Thanks to all who set up the
WAPI DX test!
29-Dec-05 || 0259 local || 1070 khz. || WAPI || 5 kw night || Birmingham,
AL || Three W-A-P-I Morse code IDs followed by about 30 seconds of sweep
tones, then into another Morse code ID. Under WNCT. || New. A 755 mile
catch. Morse code IDs and sweep tones also clearly heard at 0230, 0330 and
0400 local.
29-Dec-05 || 0259 local || 1070 khz. || WNCT || 10 kw || Greenville, NC ||
Ad for 'Memory Switch', then ID: "This is eastern Carolina's talk giant,
Talk 1070, WNCT (ID somewhat garbled), Greenville." Over WAPI DX test sweep
tones and Morse code ID. || New. A 301 mile catch
