[IRCA] TP 1 Sep Victoria version.
A bit of an Australia-fest this morning again to start, but fairly suddenly, around 12:50UT, the big Japanese guns leapt into the fray..
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):
774 JOUB man in Japanese 1255UT with 3LO way underneath
828 JOBB man in Japanese 1313UT //774
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
594 3WV ABC news 1200UT and following. JOAK had showed the merest pips on the hour under this
594 JOAK man in Japanese 1248UT
747 JOIB man in Japanese //774 and stronger at this time 1312UT
972 HLCA two men in Korean1255UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:
585 7RN man in DU English //576 1156UT
702 2BL weather forecast and ABC news mention 1305UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)
567 RNZ National? man and woman talking, DU English intonation 1252UT
576 2RN man talking //585 1156UT
612 4QR man talking, DU English intonation 1157UT; ID'd a couple times later as a parallel, but never amounted to much
621 woman talking, DU English? 1222UT; no parallels at this time
693 JOAB man talking //774 1250UT
738 country vocal 1219UT, assumed 2NR with Saturday Night Country
846 2RN woman talking //576 1231UT, neither very strong
891 5AN country music 1217UT; same song had been played at 1147UT on 774
1017 man talking , island language? 1301UT
1053 man talking, could have been Japanese 1300UT
1287 JOHR? man talking Japanese intonation 1302UT
1566 man talking, assumed HLAZ 1231UT, quite undermodulated.
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)
864 918 954 1134 1179 1242 1323 seemed to be Asian;
531 558 603 657 828 1098 1116 seemed to be DU
best wishes,
Nick
