Sweeping verifies the electrical characteristics of the cable but not the 
physical characteristics so really won't prove how long cable lasts in the 
ground.

Actually, most RG-6 is not rated for direct burial. In the Belden catalog, 
only 3 of 13 satellite RG-6 offerings are rated for direct burial while they 
are all swept. Check that out on page 6.31 and 6.32 of their pdf catalog.
