Lynn,
You mean by professionals? I had my yard tore up several times in the
past few years on burying sewer pipe, water pipe, etc. Apparently each
utility has a certain depth and an area they run. One reason I keep my
coax fairly close to the top of the ground, is I don't want to hit any
electric, gas, etc lines. It is much easier to place something a few
inches down than a foot or two also. When I intalled my big dish in
1985, I did bury the ribbon cable a good foot down as I was told it was
code. For my own antennas, I don't care about code. hi. Plus if I have
to pull up the cable for anything it is easier. We do have moles around
here, but so far none have bothered any of my cables. But LA rules may
be different.
