---------I wasn't doing much dx from 1970-1975 but I read the DX MONITOR and noted you guys hearing stuff from the east on 1400. Boy, that must have been great. I remember the early 50s on
Monday mornings when most of the graveyards were clear or almost clear. When the nearest station on the air is CMOX in Cuba on 1490 or WWPB in Miami on 1450 you can learn to live with that
:-)...Other 24/7s of that era included WCTC-1450 New Brunswick NJ. 1230 at times had WJBW-New Orleans, WITH Baltimore, KNUZ-Houston & WNOR Norfolk...1240 had good ole WEDC-Chicago, WKDA
Nashville,,,1340 was KRUX Glendale AZ, WEXL Royal Oak MI, KORK Las Vegas, WHHM Memphis & WEMP Milwaukee...1400 WJLB Detroit, WOND Pleasantville NJ, KONO San Antonio...1450 WWPB Miami, WNOE/WTIX
New Orleans, WHLS Port Huron MI..WCTC-NJ, .1490 had KTYL Mesa AZ, KWIK Burbank CA, WTMV East St. Louis IL, WJBK Detroit, WSRS Cleveland Hts OH, & CMOX Havana.......

There were many more as the 50s progressed and some of those listed above were off on Monday mornings but those are the ones I remember most (or at all anymore)..........
