I wished I had been able to stay awake late as the band seemed to be
getting even more active. Oh well.
Thomas I agree with you about the E10 altho when I first got the radio
it seemed decent on MW but later tests were not as good. I have used it
with the the RS loop as a bedside radio and found it to be much better
than barefoot.

So I'm verifying the observation in MA. I was also able to copy VOA on 17820 in the Phillipines and R. Australia on 17795 and these signals were also strong.

Well before sunset over salt water Panama City on 590 kc, Tallahassee on 1070 kc, Key West on 1600 kc and New Orleans on 870 kc were barely audible. Houston on 740 kc and Corpus Christi on 1030 kc were inaudible. But on the Grundig S350 all above mentioned stations were loud.
