13810-WOF was the best frequency here in Caversham with 12005-WOF also good.

A 2-minute shorter edition is on BBC WS later at 0132 UTC (0232 BST)
including I presume on R4 198 kHz longwave and DAB.

But also now available to listen to online at
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/w3ct5hqt (though always sounds better
coming through the ether!)

from British Antarctic Survey website:

Celebrating Midwinter in Antarctica (21 June, 2023)
https:www.bas.ac.uk/media-post/celebrating-midwinter-in-antarctica-2/
Today (21 June) marks the longest night in Antarctica and around 40 people
will be celebrating Midwinter in British Antarctic Survey's (BAS) three
winter stations:

Rothera Research Station on the Antarctic peninsula,
and King Edward Point and Bird Island on South Georgia and the South
Sandwich Islands. [...]

includes:

BBC Antarctic Midwinter Broadcast
The teams gather together at the end of the special day to listen to the
BBC Antarctic Midwinter Broadcast, a unique radio programme featuring
messages from friends,
family and supporters back in the UK. This year's edition is presented by
BBC Radio 6
Music's Cerys Matthews and features interviews with Professor Dame Jane
Francis,
Director of BAS and Nadia Frontier, a marine biologist from BAS and former
winterer.

The BBC Antarctic Midwinter Broadcast will be transmitted at 21.30 GMT on 21
June

on shortwave frequencies: 12005 kHz, 13810 kHz and 7255 kHz.
You can also listen to the programme on the BBC World Service at 02.32 BST
on UK DAB and on BBC Sounds.

Frequencies confirmed for the special 30-minute BBC Antarctic Midwinter
broadcast are:

7255 kHz Dhabbaya 250 kW
12005 kHz Woofferton 300 kW
13810 kHz Woofferton 250 kW
(Ascension relay - not being used)

Presume these are on air 2130-2200 UTC on 21st June (as tested 14th June)
though not yet included in BBC schedule?
A slightly shorter version of the programme is also aired 22nd June 0132,
0432 and 1232 UTC on BBC WS streams mentioned below.
0132 UTC (0232 British Summer Time) should include UK DAB and 198 kHz Long
Wave plus 1413 kHz -A'Seela(Oman), 7325 kHz -A'Seela(Oman), 17790
kHz -Kranji(Singapore).

Midwinter's Day in Antarctica is a week away (21st June) and BBC,
as in previous years, will have a half hour broadcast to
British Antarctic Survey (BAS) staff over-wintering at BAS bases there.
"The Antarctic Midwinter Broadcast is unlike anything else on the BBC World
Service.

Every year, we make this special programme for just 32 listeners:
The team of scientists and support staff isolated at British research
stations
in the Antarctic midwinter. Presented by Cerys Matthews, the programme
features messages

from family and friends at home as well as music requests from Antarctica.
For decades it has been part of the traditional midwinter celebrations."

BBC programme website above shows three scheduled broadcasts at:
* Thu 22 Jun 2023 01:32 GMT
BBC World Service UK DAB/Freeview, East and Southern Africa, Europe and the
Middle East,
Online & West and Central Africa only (also on BBC R4 LW etc at this time
0230 BST?)

* Thu 22 Jun 2023 04:32 GMT
BBC World Service Americas and the Caribbean
* Thu 22 Jun 2023 12:32 GMT
BBC World Service Australasia

Checking HFCC today, there are 4 x 15 minute BBC English broadcasts
registered this
evening (14 June 2023) 2130-2145 UTC to CIRAF zones 67 & 73 (Antarctica) so
presume these

are the usual tests ahead of the Midwinter's Day broadcast?
Can anyone at Woofferton confirm this, and also if there is still the usual
2130 UTC transmission on 21st June (as well as the three the BBC list
above)?

Frequencies per HFCC 14 June 2130-2145 UTC: 7255 Dhabbaya; 12005 Woofferton;
12065 Woofferton {sic, not <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<}
and 13810 Woofferton.
