** COLOMBIA. 10125 CW, April 20 at 0635, once again the strange station sending keyboard letters slowly in sequence: ``QWERTYUIOX ASDFGHJKLÑ ZXCVBNM`` and then much faster: ``VVV DE HK3QQ BOGOTA COLOMBIA`` --- note the error? of X instead of P, like reversed dits and dahs? And the Enye after L; maybe that`s where it lies on a Spanish keyboard. QRZ.com:

What about Radio Angela? 5130, still no WBCQ R Angela signal from 0200 UT April 20. Yet, 6160 & 7490 are both carrying military medley, SSB amid extended Hal Turner show. R Angela must be of lowest priority - so the usual 5130 xmtr is broken: why not let it be on one of the others temporarily? Other nights would deprive dead Brother Hystairical of one frequency among many. And what about all the extra transmitters supposedly at Monticello? Jeff White gave them one from WRMI. 3265 could be turned on at same time as all the others, so why not use it now, preferably on 5130 or higher instead? ``Bad tubes``, hard to find. R Angela & listeners may be in for a long wait unless some alternative is used (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2187) ``Uncle Bill responds: At the moment I anticipate Radio Angela not returning to the airwaves before May. There are actually two components to the problem, parts and labor. The late Tom Barna was the engineer in residence on the spot who might have been able to jury rig something together, and he is missed more than ever right now. Timtron and (at the moment) Allan are both some distance away. The 5130 transmitter does legitimately need new tubes which are both hard to find and expensive, hence our increasingly-frequent appeals for financial support. But even with enough benefactors to buy "new" tubes, the station does also need to hire another engineer as well and has been actively recruiting. 7490 is full enough that throwing us there isn't practical and the other frequencies aren't ideal options just now either for other reasons. It would be nice on general principles if listeners who miss us wrote the station to remind it that we are missed when we are gone. --Uncle Bill [Tilford], Curator, Radio Angela, WBCQ The Planet`` (April 21, WOR iog via Glenn Hauser; not in time for WOR 2187) ** U S A. 9975, UT Fri Oct 21 at 0110, still no signal from KVOH, which had started to run on Thursday nights too (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) This report dispatched at 0201 UT April 21
