I have a pretty regular daily and weekly schedule for listening to
programs I like
from international broadcasters. As much as I'd rather be tuning in on
my NRD-515
(with Sherwood modification), I am forced by many broadcasters to use
the Internet
to hear them.
I have an audio-recorder program (Audio Recorder Deluxe) that will
allow me to set a single-event timer to record streaming audio. I can
open the program multiple times
for multiple events, but I don't know how to set my computer to also
act as a timer, e.g., activate an audio stream at a particular time
and then terminate the stream when the programming is no longer
needed.
I remember a few years ago, there were a couple of articles about how
to do this in one or both of the medium-wave club bulletins, but I
can't find my copies. Seems like it used Microsoft scheduling to start
a feed, but not sure how it told how to end the feed.
Does anyone have ideas on how to do this?
Also, is there an audio-recorder program that will time at certain
times of the hour
every hour? Someone must have a clever method of capturing top-of-hour
IDs overnight. I'd also like to use it to tape (showing my age, I mean
download) CBS Radio overnight newscasts, for example.
Grateful for any replies or suggestions...
Mike Cooper
