[Swprograms] BBC World Service coverage of the Wimbledon tennis tournament

Late June means the return of the annual Wimbledon tennis tournament,
generally regarded as the signature event of the sport. Beginning Monday,
June 26th, the BBC World Service will be airing special weekday programming
summarizing news and results of the tournament every day, and some editions
may be audible to the USA on the European and African shortwave services of
the World Service.

The program, called "Wimbledon Live", will air to the Americas (XM Satellite
Radio) at 1430, 1630, and 1830 UT; via Sirius satellite radio at 1430; to
Europe (and webcast) at 1430, 1530 and 1830; to Africa at 1830 and 1930 UT.

Hope all here are well; it has been quite quiet on the list lately.
Anybody still listening to shortwave in the summer months? What are
you listening to? Are you instead, like me, more apt to listen to
webcasts or download files to digital MP3 players?

Best regards,

Richard Cuff / Allentown, PA USA
