In response to the comment in Glen's latest Digest on the Canadian election. The polls in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta close at 9:30 PM. Thus the bulk of the results will not be in until after 9:30. While the Atlantic provinces may give some indication of trends they will not determine the result. I suspect this is why CSPAN will not pick up the coverage until 9:30. I can remember when RCI used to broadcast live election results, but I suspect they aren't this time.
